Continuing Excellence in Motorsport Logistics

The logistics partnership between CEVA Logistics and Ferrari is set to continue and expand, covering all facets of transporting racing equipment for both Scuderia Ferrari HP and the Ferrari Hypercar projects starting from 2026. This agreement signals a commitment to seamless and sustainable freight solutions tailored to the high-stakes environment of international motorsports.

Evolution of Motorsport Logistics Over Two Decades

Over the last twenty years, logistics in elite motorsport has shifted from basic freight services to highly complex, integrated operations involving multimodal transport and sustainability considerations. Historically, moving race equipment required rapid, flexible responses across diverse locations around the globe. As teams like Scuderia Ferrari expanded their presence in Formula 1 and endurance racing series, logistics providers have had to adapt to unprecedented demands for speed, reliability, and efficiency.

CEVA Logistics has been pivotal in this evolution, consistently optimizing race asset deliveries encompassing air, sea, rail, and road freight to ensure timely arrivals for more than 90 Grand Prix events since 2022. The scope now incorporates not only speed but environmental responsibility, aiming to reduce carbon footprints while maintaining high performance.

Such complexity elevates the role of freight carriers, who must be agile and collaborative to meet tight schedules and the exacting standards of motorsport events worldwide.

This evolving scenario offers freight carriers opportunities for increased revenue through specialized transport requests and premium services. However, it also demands heightened flexibility, technological proficiency, and environmental awareness to meet the expectations of teams like Ferrari. The deeper integration of low-carbon logistics solutions indicates shifting priorities, encouraging carriers to innovate for sustainable freight services.
