Fulfillment Requirements for Sellers on Mall.cz

Mall.cz requires sellers to maintain accurate inventory records, apply standardized barcode labeling and dispatch orders within the marketplace's defined shipment windows to avoid penalties and preserve seller ranking.

Core fulfillment obligations for Mall.cz sellers

Sellers listed on Mall.cz must comply with a set of operational rules that affect day-to-day logistics: package integrity, correct labeling, stock synchronization, and adherence to the platform's dispatch SLAs. These obligations are enforced to ensure predictable delivery lead times and customer satisfaction across the marketplace.

Packaging and parcel standards

Packaging standards are designed to protect goods through the last-mile stage and to ensure compatibility with carrier handling systems. Key expectations include:

• Appropriate outer packaging that prevents damage during transit and handling.
• Correct carton dimensions and weight that match the shipment declaration to avoid surcharge or repacking.
• Secure sealing and internal cushioning for fragile, bulky, or irregular items.
• External labeling free from obstructions, with clear shipping labels and handling marks (e.g., fragile, top side).

Why packaging specifications matter for logistics

Noncompliant packaging can lead to rejected consignments, repacking fees, or increased damage claims—directly raising fulfillment costs and extending average delivery times. For carriers, consistent packaging reduces handling time, lowers loss/damage rates and improves route planning efficiency.

Labeling, barcodes and documentation

Correct labels and machine-readable barcodes are essential for automated sorting and inventory management. Sellers are typically required to:

• Affix a scannable EAN/UPC/GTIN or unique SKU barcode to each unit or outer carton.
• Include a shipping label that matches the order and carrier manifest.
• Provide any required customs documentation for cross-border shipments.

Impact: Proper labeling reduces misrouted parcels and accelerates warehouse throughput, directly improving fulfillment KPIs such as order cycle time and on-time delivery rates.

Inventory management and synchronization

Inventory accuracy on Mall.cz is enforced to prevent overselling and to maintain customer trust. Sellers must synchronize stock counts between their internal systems and the marketplace, using regular feeds or API integrations. Typical practices include:

• Real-time or scheduled stock updates via API, CSV upload, or integrated ERP connectivity.
• Safety stock thresholds to cover lead-time variability and returns.
• SKU-level controls for variant items (size, color, configuration).

Failure to maintain accurate inventory leads to cancellations, refunds and negative feedback—which in turn affect seller visibility and shipping prioritization on the platform.

Fulfillment timelines and dispatch SLAs

Marketplaces set dispatch SLAs that specify how quickly an order must be handed to a carrier after confirmation. Sellers must coordinate picking, packing and handover to carriers within these windows. Common operational implications include:

• Adjusting shifts and staffing to meet peak order volumes.
• Optimizing pick-and-pack workflows to shorten fulfillment time.
• Scheduling carrier pickups or drop-offs aligned with SLA requirements.

Returns handling and reverse logistics

Clear returns policies and streamlined reverse logistics are part of Mall.cz compliance. Sellers should:

• Provide a simple returns process and preformatted return labels when required.
• Inspect returned goods promptly and update inventory records.
• Process refunds or exchanges within the platform's timeframe.

Efficient reverse logistics reduces loss, speeds up re-listing of returned items, and keeps working capital moving—key to sustainable operations for small and medium-sized sellers.

Legal and commercial penalties for noncompliance

Noncompliance can trigger marketplace penalties including financial fines, reduced placement in search results, temporary suspension of listings, or delisting. From a logistics perspective, sellers face additional commercial consequences:

• Increased shipping costs due to repacking or re-routing of noncompliant parcels.
• Higher claims and chargebacks for lost or damaged shipments.
• Administrative overhead to reconcile mismatched shipments and refunds.

Typical marketplace fulfillment metrics to monitor

Metric	Definition	Logistics Impact
On-time dispatch rate	Percentage of orders handed to carrier within SLA	Affects customer satisfaction and marketplace ranking
Inventory accuracy	Degree to which stock records match physical stock	Prevents overselling and reduces cancellations
Return rate	Share of orders returned by buyers	Drives reverse logistics and restocking costs
Damage rate	Percentage of shipments reported damaged	Impacts carrier choice and packaging standards

Operational best practices for sellers

Adopting robust warehouse processes and integrations reduces friction with Mall.cz and improves profitability. Recommended actions include:

• Implementing barcode-driven picking and packing to ensure label accuracy.
• Using integrated inventory management systems with API connectivity to Mall.cz for near real-time stock updates.
• Standardizing packaging templates and checklists for different product categories.
• Negotiating carrier pickup schedules or using fulfillment partners to guarantee SLA adherence.
